*Halloween potluck

Updated: Jan 24, 2019

We had an awesome potluck at work. I made Deviled Eggs with Spiders on top. Here's the recipe.

10 Eggs

1 Can Medium Olives

Miracle Whip/Mayonnaise

1 Cup Bacon Bits

If you have an egg cooker (like I do) you can just put in the water and cook them. If you don't have an egg cooker, use a medium sauce pan place eggs in water (water should just cover the eggs). Bring eggs/water to a boil and boil for 20 minutes. Cool eggs in a bowl of ice and water for at least 10 minutes. Peel eggs by tapping egg on a plate/table turning and tapping until you have cracks all around the egg. Start peeling. Once you have a small opening you can use a spoon between the shell and egg to peel faster.

Once all eggs are peeled, make a cut all the way around the middle of the egg, careful not to cut the yolk. Put the yolks in a bowl and the halves of the eggs on a plate. smoosh up the egg yolks. Add 1 large spoonful off Miracle Whip/Mayonnaise to the yolks. Add 1 Cup Bacon Bits and stir until all is incorporated.

Use melon baller or small spoon to scoop mixture back into the egg white. Once you have all the egg whites full and yolk mixture used you can start on the spiders.

For spiders: Take 1 Olive and cut in half. Use half the olive for the spider body and cut the other half into small skinny slices for the legs. It seems easier if you put the legs on first pressing them into the yolk and then add the body and push down.
