Poutine Pizza - on the smoker

I know I've done many different varieties of Poutine on my site, but I can't help it. It's just the right combination of flavors and we miss Canada.

Ingredients:

1 pkg Hash browns, thawed

1 pkg Beef Appetizers

1 pkg Cheese Curds

Apricot BBQ sauce

Butter

Directions:

  1. Set smoker to 350*. Generously butter a pizza pan and spread hash browns in a single layer evenly around the pan. Add pats of butter to the top of the hash browns as well.

  2. In a cast iron skillet, put the beef appetizers in a single layer so you can cook at the same time. You will need to put these on the shelf of the grill so both can fit at the same time.

  3. Cook for 15 minutes. Turn the beef appetizers and get a second (well buttered) pizza pan. Pull out the hash browns and put the second pizza pan on top. Hold the sides of the pans (with hot pads) securely while flipping the pans over.

  4. Add more butter to the hash browns. Put beef appetizers on the hash browns, and cook another 15 minutes.

5. Put cheese curds on hash browns with beef. Make sure you have beef and cheese curds evenly spread out.

6. Cook another 5 - 10 minutes until cheese curds are melted or soft (to your liking).

7. Mix sauce packet from the beef appetizers with some Apricot BBQ sauce.

8. Once you pull off the pizza (curds melted), drizzle with sauce and enjoy!
