*Smoked Asparagus & Broccoli

Want to spice up the flavor of your veggies? Try this one. It's super easy and the veggies have a nice crisp smoky flavor. Now that we have discovered this for our asparagus and broccoli, it's our favorite way to enjoy some lovely green side dishes.

Ingredients (for 2 people):

Your choice of pellets for the smoker.

10 - 20 Asparagus Spears (or 1 head of broccoli)

Olive Oil

Maple Multi grain seasoning

Directions:

Heat smoker to 450* (high).

For Asparagus: line a smoking tray with aluminum foil and spread asparagus spears in a single layer. Pour a little Olive Oil over the spears. Use clean hands to coat the asparagus with oil on tray. Sprinkle with seasoning.

For Broccoli: Put broccoli in a gallon Ziploc bag. Pour in some Olive Oil and seasoning. Seal and shake the bag until all broccoli is coated with oil and seasoning. Put on foil lined smoking tray.

Cook on smoker 20 - 25 minutes, until tops of asparagus are crispy (or until you can see some dark areas on the broccoli).

Remove from smoker and add to any meal for a delicious side dish.
